Always wondered why we never got an anime series
that follows the manga faithfully.

when Kishiro was approached with the offer to have the series animated, he wasnt too far in to the series. so only two episodes were animated, & they had to take liberties with the story since it wasnt close to finished yet.Β not only that but it was produced during the tail end of the OVA boom, & the changes made for the OVA didnt gel well for the fans of the series so it made very little money. it just came out at the wrong time on the wrong format.
