acrylic + ink on canvas

this is my very first attempt with acrylics, and I'm really really happy with how it came out. Had this image kicking around in my head for a long time, planning to paint it. I used a source photo of Elkie Cooper, which I can no longer find on her site.

And comments/advice regarding the acrylics would be great, I'm still learning, blundering through it, colouring is very new to me. So fun though... can't believe I didn't start doing this earlier... it's insane to have control of such vivid colours at your fingertips...
