What you need is a long commute to school/work each day and a desire not to look at a laptop or smartphone screen any more! That'll get you hooked on the origami

Is the paper really 2.5 cm by 4 cm? I measured my paper out and if I use that, I have a lot more than you do in the tutorial sticking out in step 7.

Ah you make a valid point! However it doesn't matter what size the rectangle is, in fact, as long as it's not a square and not so thin that the length is more than twice the breadth.
I was using A-ratio paper so this must have been around 2.5 x 3.53cm?

This black paper is pretty thick, almost like card. Don't know what it's called though...
Try going to a crafts shop and buying paper that is black on one side and white on the other, should work!

You can add a layer of modules at the top and press it inwards, using a little force.
I made my auntie one of these pandas and she uses it to put pens in.

Righty-o, let's start from step 4.
You turn the rectangle so that the fold is to the left and the "open" end is to the right.
Now you've got two "flaps" yes? Take the top one and fold it at a 45o angle to the horizontal.

This looks really awesome but I really can't figure out step number 5! I'm really slow with origami but whichever way I fold it it doesn't turn out like step 6

i've started making one except i had no black so i used green hoping it will still look okay once its finished
so far i've made about........80 modules so far, so i still have quite a bit to go
