If you fluttered your eyelashes longer AND offered me money...I might consider it.

Even with money I still have to flutter? Even if I gave you a night or lurve?

This is shaping up to be a really good tutorial. So far everything seems pretty easy to understand, and the pictures really give a great visual to go on.

It's so amazing to have a look over your shoulder and at your hands "while" you create your origami work!
I shall start folding paper too!

Looking forward to the next step! Do you use any specific type of paper?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
synconi In reply to Rubius [2009-03-21 14:05:05 +0000 UTC]
I use just normal plain white paper. I'd love to have black paper but have to use soft card instead.
As long as it's quite nice to fold yet still retains a good shape, then it should be alright.

I tried getting up to this point, and I got some strange pentagon thing. Guess I should wait until this is finished.
THANKS FOR SHARING THE SKILLS

Btw, you say "stop when you have 7 blacks on each side" ... wouldn't you need more than 42 black modules then?
2 x (1+2+3+4+5+6+7) = 56
Maybe you mean 6 blacks on each side? Then you would only need 42

synconi In reply to CookiemagiK [2009-03-21 14:03:10 +0000 UTC]
Ah dammit you are quite right! Before when I made pandas, I used smaller sheets of paper, so I only did six blacks on each side, needing only 42 modules...but this one you'll probably need 56. It's up to you, really, whatever looks best on your panda.

CookiemagiK In reply to synconi [2009-03-21 15:04:44 +0000 UTC]
Ah well I went for 56 in the end
Can't wait for the last part!

synconi In reply to CookiemagiK [2009-03-21 15:50:43 +0000 UTC]
The last part is very simple, I'll provide a template for eyes and ears if people want too...what do you think?

I'm almost finished making all the modules
