Are you an origami "enthusiast" yourself?

People call me an expert, I call myself an enthusiast.
I haven't dabbled with origami properly for a while though.

I see!
It's a pretty time-consuming artform though, it's difficult to find sufficient time to devote to it.

Yeah of course, I don't mind the time consuming but I need to get on with other stuff too you know?
Time consuming doesn't bother me, I have great dexterity and patience.

Wait- it says I need 400 white and 44 black. But then at the end it says it took 405 pieces. Which is it?

Ugh sorry for the confusion! I suspect that it's the bigger number but I am not entirely sure...I can try and count for you, or I suggest that you assemble the modules as you go so that you know how many (roughly) are left at any time? Sorry about this.

The Chinese word for "four" sounds very similar to the word for "death".

I really want to challenge myself with this since the only 3D origami I've done before is dodecahedrons, but I'm stuck on steps 4 and 5 of the modules. I don't see how you folded it. Any help?

I think it's because I can't see the fold lines (even in the downloaded version)

Alright, Ive figured it out by guessing, but now I'm stuck on that last step. Which way did you fold it in half?
It might help if you draw arrows on the tutorial to show directions.
I'm going to have to keep commenting on my comments until I figure this one out too

such a cute tutorial!
I do have a question though- whenever I try to do this, the ring never seems to be able to curve just right. Instead of curving up, it curves out!! Any tips/advice/solutions? Much appreciated and thank you ^^

How many layers of modules have you put on top of one another when you do that? The more modules you add, the less and less it curves the wrong way.
To combat it, you CAN use an elastic band to keep it curving the right way but it should right itself after a few layers. <3
