I started making it last night, it's super fun, thanks for this tutorial
Just a question, when I tried putting them together to make the body with 20 modules, it kept falling apart as I added more. Is that meant to happen or...?
Because I have 80GSM of paper, I was just wondering what weight your paper is?

So glad you're having fun! I use 80gsm paper too so it's alright. Until you assemble about four layers, the modules do have a tendency of shifting about and falling apart. Tell me if you have made at least five layers and they kep doing that. Good luck!

I'd very much like to make one of them! But how much black/white paper did you use, and how long did it take to make it?

58 rectangles of black paper (about two A4 sheets) and about 12 A4 sheets of white paper altogether! It took me a day to make the panda.

Thank you for the tutorial. It's excellent. Unfortunately, mine turned out to be more circular shaped. c: He's fat.

Ok, so I've been trying to do this for like the past month now, and it's a complete failure so far. But I'm totally not giving up. I was just wondering what kinda paper you used... I tries this with construction paper and it's a total mess... >.<

synconi In reply to xOxSEALxOx [2010-08-24 07:30:20 +0000 UTC]
Construction paper is way too stiff! I just use normal plain paper. It's harder to find good black paper though...not too thick, nor too thin.

Yeah, I noticed. >.< But I went to FedEx and they had some good selections. ^^ I think the paper I have now is kinda like the white paper. =] So hopefully now I won't struggle as much. I'm really hoping to get this done sometime soon.
