Description
This is a sample plate I started working on about two months after I started engraving. Each circle is an outline of a quarter. I worked on this plate from underneath a microscope. This gave me an incredible insight into how malleable the copper really is and how little pressure one needs to work it. At this magnification scale, the surface is like peanut butter. One of these days I'll continue with this. Some circles are copies of Durer's work and another artist whose name I'm blanking on right now. The alphabet is in english and Futurama alienese. I also have a little bit of the Declaration of Independence in cursive.

this is a really cool idea, i'm blown away by the small scale of it. i love your line quality and the fact that you did this under a microscope shows you have great control. i hope to see more!

They aren't sooo expensive (depending on what you define as expensive)

For a college student who only has a part-time job, anything that costs more than two weeks worth of groceries is considered expensive.

Ok, then it's expensive, unless you want live of a bag of potatoes the next 4 weeks.
