Hello, guess who.This is purposefully made to be a reference image, resembling this one from three years ago. I wanted to see am I improved if I draw the same character with same equipments and even on same paper. Well, you can see the difference by yourself too. I like what I got, at least a bit more patience. These wing feathers look so much better than three years ago and fur is more texturized. MoA self has got some detail changes, like bigger tail, longer hair and thinner feet and hands...
10+ years this character has been around. THIS damn character became an alter ego, has grown with me, through even the disfamous Mary Sue -phase to her current existence as a valid passive observer of this little imaginary realm I live too often.

Wow, I think the magor things that have improved since the last picture is the fur effect and anatomy which now both look fantastic. I hope my art one day reaches your standard, yours is fantastic!

Its interesting to compare the two images and see how your skills have evolved over the years! This one has more clearly defined musculature than the other, for example. NICELY DONE!

THREE YEARS AGO?! Whaaa- feels like it was last month
Well I wouldn’t have thought it was possible but you indeed improved a lot with those colored pencils as tool. The colors are much smoother and the details seem more “carefully placed”. For the character changes itself I can’t say that I ever dislike MoA-changes and usually get used to everything. (I first didn’t liked that she lost her blue hue but now I can’t imagine her with so much blue in fur anymore.) That tail will be hard to accept, somehow I don’t like it :< But I noticed her longer hair already before and that is lovely. I don’t need long hair on everything, but MoAs hair was always such a middle-length (compared to her body). Now it is really nice. It also looks more oily here, maybe because of the coloring but I think it is mainly because the length makes it look flatter and not so “full”. I also like how her face became less feline and longer, it makes her look more mature. (I always liked the teen-alike MoA, but now that I know her personality as an uncreated this look suits her more) The slender hands are good too – they’ll work better as hands now. Before they still looked very paw-alike. I’m not sure about the hind-legs but that will change with the time I guess. (I am just so used to the bulky MoA, that doesn’t have so many visible muscles but simply looks stable on itself) Her wings seem to have grown a little too. Just a little, but they suit better now. I don’t mind small wings at all but they look really right compared to her body now.
Also thanks for coloring that head decoration more clearly. I never was sure about it B’D … I’ll miss the little fur that hand off her groin/hips. Overall if I compare the new one to the old reference-picture I really like the new one better. Not just because of the improvement but also for the overall design. Some things will take some time (and some more picture) until they grow normal since the changes are really eye-catching at some points but I think this new one will overall work really nicely. Now I’ll wait for other people to comment to see if they like it this much too. Oh I think MoA will be more fun to draw now though. She looks more agile with the a little more slender look.
I’m so not used to reference pictures letting the character do anything that I stared that hand for a long while thinking if it was off or it was just my mind. Just my mind, the hand is drawn nicely x>

And then whoa, hold on a bit. First remember, never stare every single pencil stroke too much, this is just a current interpretation and I'm pretty sure I'll found some "oops"ies here later. So try to focus the whole. x> And details like bigger tail, they look clearer when you look this and the one made three years ago, but actually MoA's tail has grown little by little whole this time. It's maybe the clearest for me, I see every single sketch, I know what's going on. Not to forget that I have tried some different stylishing with her this year. (I actually like the full-red eyes but decided not to take it as default verion). Groin fur is still there, maybe it's just not that visible. Wings are pretty similar, but feather alignment is a bit different. It's a bit like that the three uppermost feathers on each row are aligned to the wrist joint and the rest is there somewhere. MoA doesn't have realistic wings at all, but I decided a long ago that those won't fit her. x>
Btw, I had accidentally left automatic resizing on, look at this now, it's clearer.
