I cannot think of how many times I see on the news or read online on how many criminals are either getting slaps on the wrists or are getting minimal sentences. What has happened to the world?

Examples:
Two teenage girls, one fifteen, the other sixteen, robbed a KFC in my hometown. Because they were threatening self-harm they were released and charged with practically nothing.

A rapist who posed as a policeman kidnapped and hold a teenage girl for was charged with 20 years prison for his crime which was later reduced to 12. He was released in early August now lives on a road that's near an all-girls high school.

A drug-cazed man carjacked a car with a couple in it and demanded they drive him to the police shop. He attempted to stab the girlfriend and broke the boyfriends arm. After escaping, members of the council nearby held him down until police arrived. He was charged and given community service. He has a criminal history of violence and drug abuse,

An ex-army man has been bashing women for the last twenty years and was given a three year sentence. Three years. Intrestingly enough, he was charged with the same charges two years before he joined the army and they still let him in, despite the fact they had knowledge of this horrible crime.
