I tryed it, and... I just keep having a white background.... I don't know where I'm wrong... I drew a simple stick figure, and created a layer that I filled with the transparent color and exported as .png, but I only have my drawing with a white background...

Do you have Photoshop?
If that happens to you, you can do the same steps but save it as .psd then open it in Photoshop. It'll have the transparent background in there and then save it as .png in Ps.
It's much easier than cropping the image manually for transparency in Photoshop.

Yes I have Photoshop, indeed. Use it to save my drawing as png alrealdy, but I often have problems of almost transparent lines... But, now I'll try with your advice. Thanks !

Yep, that works too.
I do the same when SAI keeps on bugging for me and fails to get the transparency saved in the exported .png format.

Do you do the Luminance to Transparency in the Layers Tab?
That makes all the white color turn to transparent and sometimes even make luminous colors turn into grayscale...

umm sorry...i try to do like the tutorial but i am confuse when input background image...should artwork before save or after save???

Either. It works as long as the layer filled with transparent color is separated and is the bottom layer.

TaiKatsu05 In reply to MarkushAvalone [2013-12-06 06:05:36 +0000 UTC]
Nope... that's just how Luminance to Transparency works. It's different from making the bg transparent.

Or just don't draw anything in the background and save it with 32bpp ARGB.
What is the easiest way.

32bpp ARGB?
How do you do it with that? o.o

Eelea In reply to TaiKatsu05 [2013-12-05 20:02:24 +0000 UTC]
If you don't use a cracked version, you just click "save as", choose the png and save it.
You have two options at this way. The lower one is 32bpp and this is transparent if you draw nothing in the BG.
