*Updated 6-22-14 with his weapon*Next up, Kamen Rider Gridon (not Ornac, ew). His theme is similar to Baron's with the medieval knight feel, but Gridon doesn't look as well, knight-ish. More like a soldier with the helmet design looking so open. Other than Gridon appearing on Baron's side of the battlefield in the first episode, the audience doesn't know anything about him or his identity. Let's hope he's interesting/not some jackass from Team Baron. Seriously, two episodes in and only the leader Kaito/Baron is a cool character. The others are just bland jerks.
The armor here is the Donguri Arms, the acorn. I'm not sure why acorns were chosen. I mean, yes acorns are nuts and are technically fruit, but I always associate fruit with squishy and acorns ain't squishy. That's my childish thinking at least. It's just kinda odd to me, but I do dig the brown colors for him. There's a color that's never really been too popular. Especially in so much force. Brown, bronze, and beige all on one design, that's cool.Ā His weapon is the Donkachi hammer.

Thank God you reported the other Gridon. Even though the person credited you. He use your creation and change it a little but enough for it not to fit what we know about this rider. To me that is just stupid.

The director for the show promises Griton's character will be lovable (and possibly relatable) for adults, and says he's a favorite among the staff, which has me already wondering who he could be >_>Ā
Nicely done with the sprite, I was about to comment on the chest missing some silver, but I just realized that's how it's supposed to look. XD;Ā

I've just watch the first episode of Gaim and it was awesome! I felt it again, the excitement of watching Kamen Rider! And Gridon's chest armor reminds me of OOO.

Ha, right.Ā Ok, you keep thinking that.Ā The only for sure motif confirmed is medieval European because he has the same basic under suit design as Baron, who's a knight.Ā Medieval Europe has plenty of designs to pull from, not just vikings.Ā
Could his design be based on a viking? Sure.Ā But until that is confirmed officially, it's just people like you grasping at straws.

His armor also has a bit of a boat thing going on, so that would fit with the viking theme. His helmet also resembles that of a vikings to

The helmet looks like any number of medieval European helmets, not just vikings.Ā He is not proven to be a viking motif through official sources, until then it's just fans seeing what they want to see.

Other then Zangetsu I don't think they'd repeat the same motif twice. In Zangetsu's case I think he was created as a foil to Gaim, a more experienced adversary.

Great work on this Rider. I have never thought that Acorns were even edible much less a fruit. The brown, bronze and beige trifecta looks awesome with the silver. I would crack up laughing if this rider got a peanut arms power up.

How do you mean, "a class of his own"?Ā Gaim already has three forms, Ryugen and Baron at least have two.Ā Zangetsu is the first to use the genesis juice driver thing.Ā They're all getting more forms.
