Description
This is the second to last (woo!) battlizer of the Power Rangers franchise. This time, it's the Red Dragon Fire Ranger from Power Rangers Mystic Force. Nick/Bowen/Red Mystic Ranger combines with the dragon Fire Heart to gain this armored battlizer form. Basically, a bunch of armor and wings. And drum sticks/flutes/batons/etc. The weapons are son incredibly lame. I've included both the standard and winged version of the battlizer because it kinda feels like two different modes, but not really. I noticed on some magazine scans (from Japan, no less) that the bottom four wing tips actually have a veiny design to them, so I made a slight vein structure on them rather than flat red.

I kinda like the design, but I've got some issues with it too. To me, it's too bulky, and makes the entire ranger look bloated because the armor is so big. The armor looks like it was made for a much larger human being. But I suppose, within the context of the show, the armor being part of a huge dragon means it will look large on a human being. It doesn't help that the visor gets covered up and made scrunchy.
And then finally, the steely blue color. OK, fine, it's on Fire Heart, but why even go with that color? It's out of left field and doesn't make sense to me, as he's the fire element of the core team. That blue makes me think more along the lines of wind, water, or ice. It doesn't feel right. But whatever, that's what they went with.
