Okay, funny story about is art: It's actually old as heck.
Roughly three, almost four years ago, I've had this idea involving thorns and a certain type of rose that my mom has growing in her garden, "Rapsodie in Blue", which is indeed a lavender-colored rose with a bushy growth. However... after starting with this art I never came around to actually finish it for some very odd reason, leaving it in a rough state that could best be described as "Yep, there's some color on the canvas".
Nah, seriously: the reason was that I wasn't satisfied with the look and technique involved, which was suppose to be a rougher painterly style.
Since I've gotten better with that by now, I gave it another spin and finally finish it this time.
