Description
The Bear in many native American cultures is a Directional Protector of the West. With strength and leadership, Bear was one of the "first helpers".Many people seek Bear's medicine for help in times of physical need.
This is a piece of American Poplar (10" long x 5" tall x 2" wide) that had the long edges notched with a chisel by hand and the shorter edges rounded gently. The whole piece was sanded with coarse sand paper and stained using acrylic paint mixed with water. The mediums are permanent marker and acrylic paint
