This is very interesting. It looks as if it were artificially lit, and it has a dark background. This creates a lot of contrast and makes it more dramatic. I haven't seen anything quite like this from you before, and it's an interesting departure. I still prefer your naturally lit nudes, but I do like the drama in this shot.

It was artificially lit. With this model I decided to do the shoot at her place for a change. I took the studio lights and black backdrop with me just in case. After the shoot I regretted not doing the shoot at my place by I got a couple of interesting images out of it including this one.

Thanks for the info. I think it's good to do different stuff from time to time. I recently took some photos of a friend at her place, and I too now wish I'd done it at mine. The light was poor in her flat and I had trouble with the backdrop, and I didn't feel so relaxed as I would have been at mine, but I learned a lot...

True in most cases, but I was referring to your experience in creating it. Not necessarily what the pic means. I was particularly interested in it, because it appears you are using a mature model here. I've been doing similar work and I know you also shoot Alex. The pic in and of itself can't say anything about the background work.

I've checked out your gallery and you have some nice stuff. Sometimes if a picture has a story behind it I do write that in the comments but in this case there is nothing I really want to share about this shoot, I hope you understand and take no offence. The picture is what it is and any interpretation will have to remain in the mind of the viewer
