This was originally submitted in the "Street" category where it belongs but unfortunately some idiot with nothing better to do reported it for being in the wrong category and had it moved
Really........get a life!Went into town today (London) to try out my new 17-35 f2.8 even though it was very cold and pouring with rain. Didn't get much but saw this shot in the window of Starbucks as I walked past. I feel it's a little cheeky catching people unawares like this, everyone should have the right to relax over a skinny latte without worrying about guys sneaking around in the shadows with a 400mm but I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist
Just got in and seen I have a DD!! Many thanks to

I'm wondering: This was shot at 400mm f/5.6@1/3sec how is that possible? It's so goddamn sharp! I guess you must have arms like a gorilla to support your tele

I saw her sitting in the window and set myself up across the road. I took a number of pictures and chose this one. Feels pretty sneaky to me

Perhaps you don't want to be the creepy guy, as you said, but to me, this shot had to be taken. After I read your artist notes a couple of hours ago, that was the first thing that came to mind. Now, at about... midnight, I still agree with that thought. This shot had to be taken.
It's beautiful. The effect of the steam and the rain on the glass, her expression...
I want to go to London now...

At first it looks like a wonderful painting of woman playing piano in thumbnail view,
then it transform to even more astonishing photograph.
I get so much abstract feeling from this piece of art.
It would be nice to hear her story behind this shoot if you get any chance to see her again

her hair and jacket lets me imagine its from a different era. it looks so European to my Canadian eyes and makes me want to go brood in a coffee shop.

somehow I could feel it was London. it immediately brought up very fond memories, somehow, and I was not surprised to find that it was London... probably something to do with her clothes and just the look of winter on her face.

I'm one of the people who thought you painted this, and still had trouble believing that it's not for a few moments after I've read your comment.
I absolutely love it. The way the colors made me feel and the wet window... Brilliant!
And for those who're wondering about what she's thinking, to me she seems to be reading a book instead, or busy with her cellphone... Cheers!

Thankyou so much. It would be quite romantic if she was lost in reading a book but she is typing on what must be a laptop or pda type of thing. It adds to the picture though because that's the light source lighting her face from below.
