Great piece - it beautifies an inanimate object rustled by conflict, symbolising solidarity among humanity.
However, I've always found something fundamentally flawed in the concept of flags. Nationalism limits our compassion...it's as though we're putting a bandaid on someone's finger, whilst doing nothing about the shrapnel in their leg. 'God bless America' - what about the rest...?
How about a flag that doesn't need wind?
Something interesting is happening as I write this, which I feel compelled to mention. I'm currently watching a sparrow of some sort walking up the corner of a window. It's looking at me...and a rabbit just ran from a den to another in the woods outside my house. Perhaps I should go outside (with my new, though slightly blood-spattered camera).

I love the varied textures in this and the soft blueness, giving this a surreal feel. Nice how the light manages to shine on the flag, the strength and pride standing strong. Lovely.
