Description
These are 4 Blackwork pentacles that I have designed. I will eventually be making these patterns, and others, available for sale. I have entered them into the Woodlawn Needlework Show, under my Dagorhir name, Talyra (hence TalyrasMirror), where they won the third place ribbon in their category. These are the first pentacles I have ever seen at the show, which takes place in the historic Woodlawn Mansion.I am taking requests for beta testers. If you would like to stitch my patterns from the (to be) published leaflets, please note me, and we can discuss it.
I hope you all like them

These are quite beautiful, and as a Wiccan, I enjoy them very much. You should make the pentagram for Spirit now. Complete the set.

you mentioned wanting people to stitch these designs - I'd love to! I see that the dates on the comments are old by now - what is the update on selling the patterns?
Thanks!

I'd be interested in a copy of the patterns - a friend of mine does cross stitch, we might get him interested in black work.
nice stuff.

I'm checking out printers this week. Hopefully I will soon be selling them.
When the patterns are available, I will put links up on the deviations, so you can get them.

I'm glad you like them.
I will shortly be making the patterns available for sale. If you are interested in buying them, let me know, and I will see if I can get them to you somehow. I'm supposed to work through needlework stores or Pagan stores for sales, for a bunch of reasons, but I'm sure we can figure it out.

They look very nifty. The air one, as previously stated, does stand out a bit at first, but then I resized my view and saw all four together and it didn't so much.
I like them all and salute you for your abilities.

The answer to your comment was written in response to the other comment that you read. Is that circular enough for you? Well, I know how these messages work, and so, I will repeat it, so you don't have to chase it down.
The reason that the Air Pentacle has a yellow background is because the Alchemical color for Air is yellow. I don't disagree with you, but I wanted to make the pentacles themselves match their Alchemical colors, red for Fire, yellow for Air, green for Earth and blue for Water. But because this is a pattern, each stitcher can make his or her own pieces in whatever colors they wish.

Oh, these are so beautiful ^.^
I love all the designs, but the bottom right one doesn't blend with the group as well as the others since it has a yellow star with blue details, where the others (as far as I can tell on this moniter) have a darker color of the same hue as their details. It doesn't look bad, in fact I think it looks great, it is just a tad different from the rest of the group.
Did you stitch these all by hand? How big are they?
Again, I just love them, they're so pretty

Yes, I stitched them. They are on 14 count ivory Aida. Each pentacle is just over 7 inches across, and the frames that the actual pieces are in are 8 inches square.
I am glad you like them.

Ah, I didn't know the elements had alchemical colors. Makes more sense to me now
Wow, they're pretty big! Must have taken forever to stitch them!
I forgot to mention earlier: I really like the movement in them all, the strong circular motion in the fire, the downward in the water, the swirling and twirling of the air. And I get a sort of soft, blooming-open-sort of feel from the Earth one.

Actually, Blackwork is FAST! The only one that took more than 2 days free time was Earth, and I think it only took 4. All the needles in the pine branches took extra time. The fast stitching speed of Blackwork is part of the reason I love it so much.
Anyway, thank you for your comments on the motion of the pieces. I personally think that Water was the most successful in portraying the movement of the element.

I would have never guessed it was fast work lol
I love the pine needles, they're my favorite detail of this group, even though the fire is my overall favorite pentacle ^.^
