This is for all you patient people out there

This is my most ambitious digital piece to date! I started it with the intention to make it a detailed sketch and didn't think about making it a proper painting. I did it because I wanted to practise my digital painting and use my (then) new tablet, as well as adding it to my portfolio of course However, it soon started getting more and more detailed and I finally decided to put all my effort into it.... and I'm so glad I did!

I'm really chuffed with the outcome I used Paint Tool SAI for 90% of the work and then hopped over to Photoshop Elements to add a bit of texture and do the usual editing (contrast, saturation etc.) for the last bit.

I can't believe I started it at the end of September! If it hadn't been for Christmas I probably would have left it for another year :/ So, four months and about 30+ hours later it's done I'm now looking forward to starting a new one! Maybe a full body portrait...?
