The prisoner struggled against his restraints, the unyielding yak leather only tightening around his wrists and ankles with his writing. He was suspended off the stone floor of the open balcony, with that green monster was circling him like some predator. It was female, over two meters tall, and hadn't spoken a word yet. All he knew was that she'd knocked his helmet off with the flat of a huge sword, and presented him to some naked redhead who he'd heard saying something about human sacrifice through the haze in his head. He'd tried to bargain with her for half an hour, but had only succeeded in getting her attention.

"Gold? You want gold? Let me go, you get gold! You like gold right? I have gold! Me have gold! Me... have... goooolllld..."

The creature stared.

"Of course you don't want gold, you're a big gross monster." He sighed. What could he possibly offer this creature? He didn't know what that Priestess did to her captives, but he didn't want to find out. There had to be a way to reach her... Wait, maybe she thought like an animal? Surely the Priestess had some way to hold sway over her. Maybe she fed her? It seemed to work with animals. Maybe it worked with these creatures?

"Food? Want food? Meat?" He spotted her ears twitch. That must be it! "Meat! Yes! Me have big meat! I take you to big meat! Biiig Meeeat! For you! Just let me go!"

She sighed and stood up.

"I can't take this anymore." She said, her voice was low-pitched but feminine, with a little rasp. "It was funny for a while, but do I really look that stupid to you?"

Immediately, the prisoner realized he had grossly miscalculated. He stammered. She drew a heavy sigh and started away, shaking her head as she shuffled off down the balcony.

"You know" Nenon stopped, "if you had just told me I was pretty instead of offering me raw meat, I would have let you go." She turned to pout at him across her shoulder. "Even if you didn't mean it."

Nenon just wants to be loved.
