Nothing like taking a course on barrel racing photography while in the middle of photographing a two day series. I've learned quite a bit and have adjusted my style of shooting. I still minorly spray and pray because I don't yet trust myself with timing. That'll come with time and more practice.

This arena is a beast to shoot in. It's all contrast and harsh light, which I fought against on the second barrel. I'm about at the limits of my 5DMkIV, so it'll be time to either upgrade to the 1DX series, which I love, or potentially shifting to the mirrorless technology if it's fast enough for rodeos.
