finding a dime on the sidewalk makes me smile too. Nice concept. The acorn represents the start of somthing new that will grow tall and mighty and stand through many storms

Somewhat negative and sad, but i like that you're turning those unhappy emotions into beautiful art. i like the idea of using something so small and seemingly insignificant for ideas like those mentioned, which also seem small and insignificant (until they add up).
Interesting use of color, however. The topic is a depressing one (except for the last line), yet you used such bright and warm hues. It seems to mean that there is hope, after all. i like that.
All in all, a very well done piece.

it was supposed to be just that- a representation of the struggle against negativity, cynicism, depression, angst.... like an acorn to an oak, a little bit of hope can change into something strong and wonderful.

Very good idea, but You could get much more out of it. You could put some more work in it, especially in the font to make it look more natural.
