COL J. Simmons was in his office, waiting for the usual person. It's been a while since he had last heard anything pertaining to "the fire lady". He hoped that she hadn't done anything stupid. He saw the familar glowing light and smiled.

"So how's our special friend, Lucy?" he asked to his AI

Lucy smiled and replied, "enjoying Fort Harrison as much as the next recruit, sir."

Simmons laughed, "Hates it that much?

"As expected, her Physical fitness isn't an issue," Lucy answered as she went thought all the new intel. "Her mental health is another matter. I've diagnosed her with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, with Antisocial tendencies. She's not quite psychopathic, but she may have been earlier in her life."

"Again," said an annoyed Simmons, "how's her training and therapy coming along?"

"Well...um...She hasn't killed anyone," said an emmbarrassed Lucy.

Simmons arched an eybrow. "Not a good way to start a report" he said

Regaining herself, Lucy explained, "Considering that's she a spoiled perfectionist who doesn't know how to interact with normal people, placed in an army that's a good eight centuries ahead of hers, and forced to learn the meaning of the words "no" and "you're wrong" from her drill sergeants, she's doing well. Like I said, she hasn't killed anyone and she hasn't burned anyone. The primary issue she needs to work on, interestingly enough, is having a social life."

Simmons answered, shaking his head, "She's not there to get a date for prom, Lucy."

"True," said Lucy, adding, "But it would make things easier if she could relate and talk to her bunkmates. She'll be less inclined to kill them if she's bonded with them."

"Fair enough," answered a contemplative Simmons who then added, "When do you think she'll be ready?

"She's currently on pace to graduate with the rest of her class four weeks from now." Lucy answered quickly

"You didn't answer my question," said Simmons

Lucy sighed and explained, "Like I said, she's doing well all things considered. She's passed all her PT's, completed all required events to date, and gained hawkeye on her BRM. She's treated all the superiors with...respect is too strong a word, but she renders them the proper greetings. The only issue I see is her interaction with the other trainees. For all her training and boasting, it's close to impossible for anyone to talk to her and vice versa."

Not wanting to spend all day with Lucy, Simmons replied, "I want her to do two things, Lucy: Kill the Coveanent and not kill any UNSC soldiers or civilans. Anything else can wait."

Dejected, Lucy muttered, "Understood, sir."

Not wanting his key AI from getting too glumy, Simmons continued on, "That said, do what you think that will help."

Smiling, Lucy replied "Understood, sir,"
