The meeting was called to order. Among the topics discussed was the mobilization of the UNSC Army units in North America. It was agreed that the 78th Artillery, 42nd Calvary, and the 15th Infantry Divisions will form the new II Corps, UNSC Army. The II Corps will be responsible for an area comprising of the Western states of United States. After the briefing, Lucy, along with Colonel Simmons of 3rd Brigade, 15th Infantry met the newly appointed Head of II Corps, Lieutenant General Irving, along with Vice Admiral Cook, Head of Battle Group Bruin Glory which protected the skies above II Corps, and Major Phinx, who was there on behalf of Office of Naval Intelligence.

Vice Admiral Cook started the meeting by asking that was on everyone's mind; “Well what are we going to do with Azula?”

“I still say that we submit her to the Spartan-III program,” answered Major Phinx.

“We don't have enough time,” countered Irving, “The Covenant are too close. If the war keeps going this badly, they can be reaching Earth within two years.”

“But wouldn't she be more effective if she was out in the field with the other troops?” asked a determined Phinx, “We've ran hundreds of tests and we know that her powers are sustainable in other environments.”

“Forcing her to shot jets after jets, bolt after bolt of fire and lightening till she passes out doesn't count as 'testing',” interjected Lucy, “Need I remind you that she still has numerous mental problems and putting her through any more of these tests can result in either her death and/or the destruction of UNSC equipment.

“Shut up Lucy,” snapped Phinx, “In case you didn't notice, there's a war going on and we need to exploit every resource we can get our hands on just to survive. As long as we win this war, nothing else matters. And if your precious fire lady gets hurt in the process, too fucking bad!

“That will do, Major,” said a stern Cook, “Gentlemen, even as we speak, the powers that be have authorized an operation designed to bring this war to an end. Due to the additional time and adjustments that would be needed in order to implement her, Azula will not be a part of that operation.”

Irving eyed the Vice Admiral suspiciously, “And what happens if the operation fails?”

Cook sighed, “If that does happen, General, we'll have bigger things to worry about then our fire lady.”

“But we still need to figure out which unit to place in for the time being.” said Phinx

“For now, I would like to see her here,” answered Simmons, “On Earth,”

Irving nodded. “Agreed, though I would like to see her in an active unit. Tell me Colonel, which of your units have been the most active?”

“That would be our MP units, sir,” said Simmons, “I can't speak for the other brigades, but I've had to send my MPs to help quell the riots in several of the Megacities.”

“I don't think I like were this is going,”said a weary Lucy

Beaming, Irving said, “Gentlemen, I think I just found Azula's calling. 31 Bravo, MP.”
