Personality:
Loyal
This Xolo is doggedly loyal to his friends but even more so to his family. Nothing can tear him away from the members of his household, and he finds the most contentment with them.

Closed off
Cobre refuses to talk about his past, the only person he's ever told is his roommate Rich, but only because he adores and trusts that dog with his life. He finds his upbringing sad and embarrassing, and he tries his best to keep people from finding out about his torturous past.

Fearful
Due to his background, Cobre has developed a bit of a fear of men (particularly Latinos), and loud noises/people. His level of fear depends on the situation, but can vary between nervousness, and fearing for his very life.

wary
Being the Xoloitzcuintli that he is, Cobre is an incredible watch dog. He's very observant and may fall quiet at times if he feels there's a potential threat near by, and only ever barks as a warning for others. He's too cowardly to attack, but he will make sure you know something's not right.

Energetic
Corbre is highly energetic. He gets excited about anything and everything, especially things that involve people he loves. He's always eager to hear about the simple nuances and idiosyncrasies of his friends' lives. Cobre loves making new friends, but he greatly prefers Rich's company and will stick to him like a duckling to it's mother whenever he's around.

Pre-Group History: It's sad to see a dog that was once seen as royalty be treated to poorly. Cobre was born in a small town in Mexico. Being such a rare breed, the Xolo pups (particular the hairless ones) of the litter were coveted by anyone who could afford to purchase them. A small group of friends pulled together enough money to purchase the dog and took joint ownership of him; naming him "Cobre" due to his copper colored crest. Cobre loved each and every one of his owners, but his affection was completely unwarranted. Everyday they tortured him- abusing the dog verbally and physically. They found it amusing, and it made them feel powerful. The canine's fleshy body grew to become covered in strips of pink scars where they would beat him and tie him up and burn him. Because of their little "games", Cobre's owners kept him hidden for the most part. It wasn't until he grew to his full size that the group chose to make a spectacle out of him. They took him to get tattoos and piercings, and Cobre would always act like it wasn't painful, like he was happy. They took him for a fool because of this.

One day, a scholar finishing his last year of university came to the small town during holiday and spotted the poor pup in a yard with an unreasonably large chain around his neck. The person watching over him that day always liked to chain him up like that because he wanted the dog to have an amazingly strong neck, plus he always liked to watch him trudge around, struggling to even move with that chain on him. The student was disgusted by the sight of the vandalized dog and quickly took several pictures of him before quickly going back to the house he had rented out for his vacation. The young man was inspired by the dog and immediately began rewriting his final essay on the deplorable quality of dog food to an essay about the egregious crime he had seen earlier that day. Most of his essay revolved around that one dog, though he conducted thorough research on the subject and ended up with a 200 page expository on the matter.

Soon after the young man graduated, earning his degree in journalism, more eyes were open to this sort of torment, and Cobre's owners were found and imprisoned for animal cruelty. The young man saw no other option than to take the dog for himself. Cobre was tentative towards him at first, but once he got a taste for what a dog's life should be, he was head over heels for his new owner. The duo moved in with the young man's father and his dog in the small town of Canidale, and Cobre was more than thrilled to start his life with his new family.

Other: Cobre has a much thicker accent, and a raspier voice, than his brother, and uses slang (they're basically opposites). He doesn't like talking about his tattoos, but he does realize that they make him a bit of a spectacle, so he's basically created a script in his head about what to say when people bring them up in conversations. Cobre is not very smart.
