Workaholic
Though he doesn't have much of a competitive spirit, Hero tries his best to be the best. His entire life has been completely devoted to coming in 1st place, and since he's no longer a racer, he channels that drive into any task he's given.

Closed off
Hero loves talking to people and helping them out with anything be it hunting or simple chores, but he is not quick to build relationships. He is reluctant to trust others with his feelings, but is always willing to give the the benefit of the doubt.

Insecure
All his life Hero has always felt... disappointing. He was bullied as a child, and being kicked off the sled team and sent to Canidale definitely put a damper on his confidence, but his encounter with Patagonia destroyed his self-esteem entirely. In turn, Hero works hard to prove his worth to everyone, but finds little pride in most of his good traits and belittles himself.

Silly
Hero is a very goofy boy. He doesn't realise how silly he is, but if you hang around him long enough (or at all), you'll see it. He doesn't see himself as the true goofball that he is, but it seems that's all he is in the eyes of others...

Hyper
As a former sled dog and a husky mutt, all Hero wants to do with his boundless energy is run. Everyone else moves just too slow for his liking. He can get frustrated because of it, but he's learned to have patience with other's lack of speed.

Romantic
Hero is a sucker for love. Despite is better judgment, he often falls into a state of limerence. Ultimately, he just wants someone to love him as much as he loves them, and he tries his best to make it happen.

Sparatic
Hero has a bit of a bipolar personality. most of the time he's your average happy-go-lucky kind of guy, but there are times when his sad thoughts really get to him. He tries to hid himself away during these times, not wanting to bother people with his negative emotions, until he can find it in himself to be happy again.

Fatherly
It's been a life long dream of his to have kids, and now that he does, he's gone into the full father mode. Hero talks about his pups any chance he gets (some of which may or may not be his own). He love to teach, take care of people, and is a strong emotional pillar for anyone who is willing to confide in him.

Insightful
Though he's not the brightest dog, Hero has learned many things about life just by living it. Along with the Knowledge his Hawk companion, Mobius, passes along to him, you may be surprised to hear sage words coming from him every now and again.

Indulgent
Hero is a major people pleaser- especially with kids (though he's learning to be more strict with his own). He is very chivalrous, and tries his best to to make people happy. Outside of that, he is also very self-indulgent, and has little to no self control when it comes to doing what he wants to do.

Pre-Group History:
Hero never had a chance as a sled dog. He was born in a kennel owned by a Canadian musher who's dream was to win the Iditarod. His parents were both high quality lead dogs, and the musher had great expectations for their first litter. Yet what a disappointment Hero turned out to be. Hero's entire life was devoted to being the best sled dog he could be, but it soon became evident that he couldn't excel at the sport. Aside from his constant disregard for authority and him just doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted to, Hero ultimately refused to give up his childish "bunny hop" gait. Hero was a constant distraction to the other dogs, and overall an irritation to the team. Though his parents were disappointed in him, they always reminded him that he was loved. He'd never let it show, but they could tell his charisma was more of a face to hide his hurt feelings more than anything else.

Dog sledding is not a cheap sport, and useless dogs like Hero aren't worth keeping around. The musher sold Hero for a cheap price since he wasn't worth much even as a pet, but he was only willing to sell him to someone with plenty of property for the dog to bound around in. Soon enough, Hero was sedated and placed on a plane heading down to Canidale. It was a real culture shock for him, especially the weather, but he tried his best to be happy with his new living arrangements. The lack of rules was certainly a plus though. It quickly became evident that it would take a miracle to get this dog into working shape, not physical (his health was in peak condition) but mentally, and the farmer was willing to put in the work. Though it will take time, one day Hero will get it though his head that he needs to get his act together.
