I found this through the link from one of the deviations that you showed me (Bud on the kayak with you during the fall season).
Bud definitely looks so warm and cozy in the backpack, and you're so clever to find ways so that your dogs can enjoy outdoor adventures with you to the fullest! I can imagine Bud not wanting to get out of the backpack once you guys return home! Great shot of Bud!

I had one some time ago, only for the summer. We can't keep a dog, we live in the city, and I'm away for university and so on...but I'm dreaming of having my own cottage one day, and I'm definitely getting a dog

Irish setters are very very friendly and playful. I forgot to ask, does Bud usually sit still in the backpack or does he want to get out?

It's very easy getting him in, just put the pack down on the ground and he crawls right in. I also use a pillow on the bottom of the pack, so that he has lots of comfort.

I just use the backpack in the winter time because he's just too small and to old, to be walking through the snow [link] but besides that, he's always on his own.. [link]

OH MY!!! That is too precious!!!
Oh yah... Toby's not very good in this weather - he can only tolerate a minute or 2 - max!
But in the better weather, he's generally OK when we're walking; he only has 3 fully working legs so breaks are needed - and when we're cycling, we have "The Toby Chariot"
Glad we're not the only ones who make changes for our pooch!
