I just feel i have to say it.

Its about love and respect. Its about giving some love to the person who made parameters inspiring enough to make you want to tweak them.
"I made it after that guy, he is great, go check his art".

You know, DA has a mention system. If you mention the artist in your comments, he or she will have the pleasure to go and check what people made out of the original params. Believe me, it is very rewarding to get tweak mentions. And it is very lame to post some parameters or a tutorial and don´t get a single person to tweak the parameters or to do the tutorial.

Well, maybe he will not be so happy if you render his work as it is without doing any change, but that is another story

By not crediting, you basically say: "That dude has no merit, his work is worth nothing. I don´t care if other people see his work, i don´t want to feature him. I used his stuff, but it is not worth a mention, it is just some math, anyone could make that. He is so lame that i dont even want to give him the pleasure to know that someone used a resource he made, hope he thinks his parameters are completely uninteresting and his tutorials are useless and stops sharing."

It is on the internet, it is free? Of course it is? Is the artist charging money for the params? Does it cost you anything to credit, are you worried that your keyboard will get ruined by typing a few extra letters?

No, it is not software related, as some of you seem to think.

Yes, this is why i grump even if the artist doesnt care (*points finger*). I do feel bad when someone that spent shitloads of time creating awesome resources and teaching random dumb people like me is not respected as he or she deserves.

And its why i do the so called "Fractal Police" stuff.
