Description This is my 14.04 Lubuntu desktop.
PC Spec. - Dell Vostro 200
Core 2 Duo @ 2.33 Ghz
4GB DDR @ 800Mhz
320 GB SATA 2 HDD

I choose Lubuntu for this system because it is light weight.  After surfing the net I found I could do many things with Lubuntu.  Themes are great, this is one reason I use Linux, to them the OS, the second is free.

Some of the things I learned to do is get Netflix running, install MS-Office 2010, and play DVD with VLC.

Yes my ms office is running on playonlinux, an application that helps wine when installing window programs.  this is a clean install of Lubuntu Linux (lubuntu.net/) that runs great on this old computer.  Lubuntu is Ubuntu with a different GUI.  I feel like many blog reads I have put new life in this old computer.  All of the office products work fine, the only problem I found is that the online templates in word or excel and even publisher show when you choose new, but won't load when you choose one?  but for me a home use, with everyday stuff not a problem for me to worry about, everything thing in office works from blank, or download the template manually.

fyi, on the bottom right next to the dropbox icon is a cloud, that is a OneDrive sync called OneDrive-d i found at www.liberiangeek.net/2014/06/s… . It works, i can use the online free product with my account or load the word or excel files locally on my computer. Onenote files don't play well, the onenote file appears as a folder?  I look on my win7 system, and the exact place is a onenote file

With the tweaks of:
OneDrive - www.liberiangeek.net/2014/06/s…
Pipelight for silverlight - www.webupd8.org/2013/08/pipeli…
dropbox is in the software center
ms office installed with playonlinux
As OS go, i really don't need windows any more, for an every day computer.  when the world can accept LibreOffice as a everyday office suite, at home and the business world then as a open source user who would need anything else!

with this old dell vostro 200 called complete, i am now started on my laptop, a lenovo b560 dual core as well, similar hardware specs.  I plan on trying a mac os x look i found on youtube www.youtube.com/watch?v=63dDMa… .  looks like Lubuntu 12.04 hope to find some thing that will work on 14.04.

thanks for the comment.  have a nice day.
