I once read this theory on TV tropes that Fakir could write Ahiru in the finale when he had tried and failed to write everyone else because Ahiru, the duck-girl, was his character, not Drosselmeyer’s, to begin with. Whether I subscribe to it fully or not, I do find it compelling.
