In the dream I was walking through a corridor, windows stretching endlessly on either side of me. Every time I glanced through a window I saw a woman keeping pace with me. Whenever I met her eyes she became more and more beastly; her gait became long and loping, her teeth sharp, her face canine.But what made my skin crawl most was the moment when, right before I woke, I realized that they were not windows. They were mirrors.
