Thoughts:
Only after I was finished did I realise I was painting this in a tiny 900x600 resolution! I have no idea how that happened. Thankfully, it worked out pretty well, but this is the maximum size I have, which is a bit of a shame.

I enjoyed this, but I found those reds and oranges impossible to pick by hand. In the end I used hue/sat adjustments to make them accurate. Very telling here is the difference in colour and lighting between my TV, where the ref was displayed, and my monitor, where I was actually painting the image. I've tried my best to calibrate my screens to show the same colours, but it seems impossible.

Also, despite sketching the position of the cows before painting, I had a great deal of trouble making them the correct size, especially in relation to each other. Not sure why I found that so difficult... But I'm currently studying perspective, so I should improve on that front eventually.
