Also, having sacrificed myself to actually see it, let's analyze a little....
What I find to be not true, from the very beginning of the film:
- More Deviant than ever before
Not true. In truth, more like a copy of ArtStation and some popular social mass-media I don't need to even name. I'm thinking maybe the word "deviant" is somewhat confusing, it's become a given here and people don't seem to pause and consider its actual meaning anymore. For reference, here is the definition of the word "deviant" from the Oxford Dictionaries (a traditionally respected source): "Departing from usual or accepted standards, especially in social or sexual behaviour." Does that correspond to DA as shown here? Nope. Not anymore.
- Easily browse and discover
Not true. In truth, the Classical platform is much easier, much faster, much more convenient, pleasant and intuitive to use. I've said that a zillion times, "eclipse" feels like a dump truck unloading on top of me whenever I attempt to browse things or look through the work I watch. Everything is is so huge and overwhelming it feels like it's slamming me in the face with a brick. Not easy. In fact, quite tedious and frustrating.
The rest of the film is basically advertising features that were ALWAYS available on the Classical platform, only functionally they are much better.... IN THE CLASSICAL PLATFORM. (Nice, that they are showing what for me would be endless scrolling through the thousands of people whom I watch in a drop-down menu, WOW!, I've always dreamt of this! Not.) I ***love*** the part where they say "personalize your page". Like, really. The page was by far more personalizable in the Classical platform, and to be honest, I find that after they ditched down the drain all the work we have put in personalizing our own Profile in Classical DA, now advertising "personalization" in "eclipse" is to me nothing short of cynical. But once again, what is really, really striking for me, how they keep advertising features we've always had. EVERY SINGLE FEATURE they advertise like the shiny new thing that will totally change our life, is something we've always had around here, in the Classical DA. What a joke.
Ending: DeviantArt - Bleed and Breed Art.
Wow. Just WOW. Bleed indeed.... And I don't know in which reality they live, but Art is not "BRED". It's CREATED. By means of inspiration-driven self-expression. I begin to doubt these words really speak to them.
P.S. I had to reduce the volume of this to the absolute minimum (just a pixel away from mute) to prevent it from blowing my ears and disturbing everyone else in my office. For reference, my system volume is set to 50% and every single video I play under this setting is pretty fine for me even at close to maximum volume - except for facebook videos of course, which we all know are as a rule louder, BUT STILL far not as loud as this one. Why are they trying to blow our ears with their self-ad? What are they trying to say to us with this? What are they compensating for? Being myself, I wonder.

We don't want ONLY ART to matter. We want we, ourselves, as persons, to matter as well. Otherwise we'd be on ArtStation. Which is pretty much what "eclipse" is a crappy copy of. Sorry, but the truth can sting.

They say it themselves "a world where only art matters"
So, overboard with an artist's self expression. Why care about the artist as person? Statistics is what matters. Hence the "bold" positioning of statistics in fat letters next to avatars and under artist names.
What makes DeviantART more DEVIANT than all other artplatforms like ArtStation? Right. It was the self expression, the identity of the whole website and the fact that there was emphasis on the artist behind the art. People have made so many friends here, just because there was more than only art here.
That seems totally forgotten with eclipse. All thrown overboard in eclipse as it is now.
