Description
Told you guys I'd make a Researcher team and after much contemplation (a whole five minutes of it!) I decided to carry on with my trend of making alternate versions of my existing characters! This time, it's the members of my Pokemon X team, CandleJack (here as a Lampent) and Shadow (here as a Gastly)!
Name: CandleJack
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Ability: Flame Body
Bio: This CandleJack is a wanderer, as he had been since he was a Litwick. He spends a good portion of his time searching for the dying, injured, sick and weak to steal their souls as 'food'. He's taken several 'jobs' here and there, but he's never stuck around in one place and one job for long. His goals in life (er... afterlife?) aren't particularly clear, but it is implied that he's searching for a niche that'll fulfill his full potential, whether that niche be benign or malicious in nature. During his wanderings, he came across a scared little Gastly in desperate need for help... The Lampent didn't give a shit, but he does tolerate little Shadow following him around so long as the little ball of gas doesn't get in his way. Now seeing as how I like to have my characters connected in some way, CandleJack often visits my Ninjask character, Sokudo of Team Ninja Bug, whenever said ninja is severely injured from his brother's punishment. Kowai usually keeps the Lampent away, but should Sokudo actually die, CandleJack can easily defeat Kowai and claim the resultant soul as further fuel for his flames.
Personality: Certainly not the most pleasant Pokemon to be around. By no means is he overly hostile like a certain Shedinja character of mine, but he does have this aura that makes it clear that he doesn't give a shit about you and really only sees you as a potential soul to burn once you die... and that death might or might not be caused by him... He doesn't talk very much, but he certainly doesn't sugar-coat any words he does say. Although very efficient at any task set before him, he's not loyal to anyone but himself and will turn on you if it fits him. You'll probably notice how his Charisma bar is empty (and thus even lower than Psychotic Kowai's!!). That's because while you can get Kowai to like you if you try really really really really really (repeat a million more times) hard and for a really really really long time (and under the right circumstances), you won't get anywhere with CandleJack no matter how hard you try. He just doesn't give enough of a shit! (insert Honey Badger Meme here!)
Battle Strategy: As a Lampent, CandleJack is very picky about battles, as he doesn't like to expend more energy than what can be provided to him with a given soul. Thus, he tends to avoid stronger Pokemon that can hold their own for more than a few minutes. He weighs his situations very carefully and often uses the environment to his advantage rather than actively engage in a fight. But if he does battle, he's a very offensive player. Shadow Ball and Flamethrower are his more prominent attacks and he launches them with chilling precision. As a last resort, he'll risk using a Solar Beam, though it's not his preferred move due to him having to charge it, sometimes through the light of his own flame. Hex is often a move he uses if his enemy is small, weak, or has been burned by his Flame Body ability (which he actively uses if prolonged physical contact is made with him).
Name: Shadow
Gender: Male
Age: Child
Ability: Levitate
Bio: Raised by a loving ghost family where nothing bad ever happened to him, it's unknown why the little Gastly is so timid and scared of the outside world. But he is, and he's never left home once during his early existence. However, that changed as a chain of events led to him being separated from his family and left to fend for himself in a scary, scary world. Desperate for help and company, he latched himself onto CandleJack and has been following him like the lost puppy he is. He doesn't understand the Lampent's ways, but he does feel safe with such a strong Pokemon and is willing to tag along until he finds his family again.
Personality:A little scaredy ghost! Easily startled and easily intimidated, he makes up for it by being an adorable little thing! Although it may not seem like he's eager to make friends, giving his frightened behavior towards strangers, he's actually very friendly and sweet once convinced that it's all safe! He's quite smart for his age and decently strong despite his low self-esteem in battle situations (he prefers to run than fight). He also balances out CandleJack's cold demeanor with his empathetic ways. His favorite hobbies include staying where it's safe and writing poetry about berries! Here's his theme song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGTE_Q…
Battle Strategy: As mentioned above, Shadow does not like fighting and almost never engages in battle, preferring to run, hide, or plead his way out of trouble. The extremely rare instances where he does fight back (where escape isn't possible and he has no other choice), he always goes with Toxic first. If the enemy doesn't retreat after that, he attacks with Venoshock. He'll also use Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam if for some reason he can't pull off his Toxic/Venoshock combo.
Like my other two teams, these two are wide open for cameos! Just send me a link if ya do!

Awwww, thank you!! Good to know my efforts at making him cute wasn't in vain! I'm even thinking of postponing his possible evolution to maintain his cuteness!!

in a PMD team it's so hard to think about evolution because you can't go back! aaah I'd keep him a gaslty forever x3 though Haunters are pretty cute too!

Ikr!! Plus all the work you put into just getting the right to evolve makes the decision even harder!
CandleJack's guaranteed to evolve as I love Chandelure, but Shadow... d'awwww, I don't want him to grow up! Although I agree that Haunters are cute (and awesome), and Shadow will probably make an adorable Haunter!! x3

yeah I guess working towards the evolution is hard enough, but if you don't really want to evolve them it's hard to decide not to work towarss it because it seems like such an achievement Dx
aaaah I also have the fact that my Team only evolve once >x
