Anther bone I have to pick with Flynn is that I feel as though he blames his poor writing for mandates he has to follow. Look Flynn, I get that you have to follow these mandates, but would it kill you to try and challenge them every now and then if you felt it would improve the book?The dude brags about fighting to use the Freedom Fighters back at Archie, yet he doesn't want to fight to use a couple of idea's here and there that might go against the mandates, probably because he wants that dream job of working on a Sonic game, since his fans begging sega to do that wouldn't work.
Also I'm pretty sure whatever mandates you follow Flynn, don't force you to make a shitty copy and paste cookie cutter story that's not worth the paper it's printed on.

I dunno about Ian, but he strikes me as a liar. Especially in the Freedom Fighter case he said that SEGA has no ownership of the characters. When he was met with evidence that these characters were copyrighted under SEGA just like any other Sonic character, Ian changed his excuse to "Oh, I dunno if I can use them or not, lol". He seems insincere and overall his writing is just becoming more and more boring.

I also feel as though Ian refuses to even challenge some mandates just because he wants to be on sega’s good side in hopes he can write for a sonic game one day
