who can forget the days of our childhood that was filled with my little ponies care bears and popples....I can't, and never will. This picture was done in memory of all the ponies who've been lost and discarded, hated and thrown out......I can't toss away my innocence so quickly, I'm holding on as long as I can....but I can't keep it forever can I...I have to grow up sometime.....*sighs* I make no sense

Wow...
This is AMAZING.
The message behind it, is so clear- especially to me.
I am 18 years old, and I still have all my MLPS- and am still collecting. Most people around me think it childish- But, I, and, you too apparently, know that MLPs are something much, much more.
Keep up the good work.

I guess nowadays we're just in such a hurry to grow up... My childhood wasn't that bad, but it wasn't something I'll one day look back on and think, "Wow, those were the good days". As much as I'll miss the sense of security most children have (we'd be fooling ourselves if we thought all children have a loving home and family; our world's not so nice), I still prefer my adult life to it. I'm more in control of what I want, what I decide to do, etc... But to get here it's not easy, we all have to watch our ponies dies some time or another. Personally, I still have Russell ([link] ), my favourite teddy bear. He'll always be a reminder of the period when my family was still whole and (at least so this kid thought) without problems. Really a great drawing, and one that has created such a reponse in people

thanks for leaving such an insightful comment. you're right about that, some children probably never even had the chance to have a real childhood, and like you, when I look back I won't think it was anything special, but I do miss the security the innocence we had brought. We were taken care of, we were safe, or at least most of us were....I never had a divided family or experienced abuse, but my emotional turmoild was inflicted in the friends my parents wished for me to keep, and the only time we actually got along was when we played my little pony, the peacemaker, the mediator, after all, someone once said, hate is not a pony quality. As for watching my ponies die, NEVER! I'd rather loose my typing finger and never draw again than give up on those ponies, I don't care if it's regressive to a safer place than where I am now, they're a comfort that I can't bring words to describe, and I'll love them until the day I die, and hopefully pass them on to my daughter to keep them alive....

I just read all the messages and although I'm only 11, alot of my friends are growing up way to fast and often make fun of me because I still have all mine. I have loads of the movies. One where those three evil people make those big scary purple blobs and the MLPs have to fight them, one where this guy tries to kill Spike, one where Sweet stuff feels left out because she's so small, one where they have to try and stop this big spider to get back home and so on. I've got like 70 ponies too. ^^
One of my favourite memories is when I was six and my Mum and Dad woke me up at midnight because they'd just popped down to the shop and bought me this big MLP bungalow... which is now sold.
Well anyway that picture is beautiful, and so sad aswell...

my collection is around 120 right now....I know how it feels to just want to take back your childhood so it's ok to play with them again, but really, why do we have to be ashamed of something so pure and innocent when people talk so openly about disgusting things like abortions and permiscious sex! (sorry to people who think thats ok) I think pony lovers should be honest about thier love for these ponies, they were with us when we were young, taught us valueble lessons, were our friends when none were around, and listened when we spoke to them. In my opinion, we owe it to our little pony friends to continnue cherishing them as we would dear friends.
PS I'm SO JEALOUS! YOU HAVE MLP VIDEOS!!!!!????

Me again. Heh. Twas just looking through your gallery and came across this pic. I think it's great and does have a lot of meaning for sure. It means a lot to me too even though I still have all my ponies, there are still so many other toys that I had gotten rid of. I was never really into carebears though, but I still have my one and only popple I think it's still up in the attic. And cabbage patch kids.. remember those? Ah the good ol days. I remember when I started babysitting these one girls (I was 13 at the time) and they had a container of MLP's and I was all "are those pony's" and the youngest was all "Yeah.." like she was trying to act all cool, but when I was like "Cool!" they got all excited cuz they didn't think I'd like em. And I did and still do. I will never stop liking My little Pony's and I will never get rid of em. And I just love this pic and will fave it, and in memory of all toys that are given away, but hopefully find their way to the hands of another loving child. ^^ Spread the love!
(I love the original 80's my little pony movie, that was the best one ever!)

For one, I think if anything, it would be even a greater treasure to give them to your daughter. How great would it be to sit down with your own child and share in that eh? I think that is one thing I will want to do with my toys, is share them with my own children. *hugs back* ^^

>>"I have to grow up sometime.....*sighs* I make no sense"<<
Just remember you are all ready "grown up" but its society that tells us what it means to be grown up, like not playing with toys or thinking childish dreams.
The other day I checked out a book about unicorns at the library (im 20 btw) and the librarian looked at me sideways and said "horses with horns, horses with horns, thats all they are is horses with horns."
I don't care what she says, if she wants to be uncreative and limit her life to the little box society has drawn for us she can go right ahead!
As for me I don't care what people say, I'm going to be a graphic desinger some day and playing with toys helps me free my imagination. And have any of you ever seen an animators work station? covered with toys, even if their not the modles for the show they are working on.
Oh yeah, statistics also say that people who are young at hart live longer and are able to cope with illness and recover better and faster than thoughs who "grow up."

Gosh! You're gonna get me totally RE-obsessed with the ponies all over again!
Yeah, I'm a packrat I keep everything ... every drawing every peice of clothing ... I can't let go of the past!
I saw some MLP merch. when I went on a little shopping trip with my family ... FUN The design was different from what I grew up with... agree with me? One of them reminded me of Brittney Spears you know all Pop/rock
(no offence to BS fans)
Now I'm in the mood to go and shop around and purchase all those disgustingly cute 80's crazes ... minus the Cabbage patch kids, never like them too much. Probably because I was to small and my mother didn't want to tackle another mother in a shopping mall at christmas

GARSH!!! Youse be getting me into those cute things all over again!! I'm just wanting to buy them and search out for new movies! And I'm not even that huge of a fan! ... Now I think I am becoming one :
I Saw some new MLP toys on a shopping trip it was kinda nice seeing them coming back but I noticed that they were designed a little differntly than from the ones I grew up with.
If my mother didn't think it was a freak like idea I would have bought one ... I'm a sucker for childrens toys though I never play with them anymore. I wish I was ten again. I was thinking about it the other day and I remeber my mother use to record MLP the TV show for me and my sister ... maybe I have some on tape ...
It's always nice to share an obsession with other ppl ^_^

Aw great pic. I remember watching MLP when I was little. I liked it too I also liked Care bears, TMNT, and much of the other 80s/early 90s cartoons. I still have some of my original Ninja Turtles Action Figures!
This pic for me brings back all the memories of the late and great 80s and what fun I had in those times when I was young. It's also brings to mind how Im older now, and all that stuff is gone...kinda sad, kinda how you feel heh.
