Welcome to the Master List Picture Guide!
I know you are excited to get your Orki onto the Masterlist but first, let's go over some basics:
1. Pictures Must Be Fullbody!
Meaning, the picture of your orki must show them from the top of their ears to the tip of their toes.
2. It Must be colored
The Master List Picture is essentially a mini-design guide of your orki, without color there's no way of knowing
if they have any markings or what kind of pattern their skin has! Making very heard for the moderators,
especially when coming to redesigns and items.
3. Must be clear
Lineart can be tricky, or you don't have the time. That's okay! You're allowed to have sketchy lines,
as long as they are clear and are not confusing when it comes to which traits your orki has.
Welp, that was the easy part! Now we are moving onto the DOs and Don'ts,
in other words, what is allowed in a master list picture:
Dont's:
- Anything that covers key orki features
- Genitalia!!
- Accessories -> Piercings, Bows, Collars, Translucent Socks, jewelry
- Bandages, bandaids, and eyepatches are allowed on a case by case basis so please ask an admin/mod beforehand to avoid issues -
Your Orki's ML Picture is not a reference sheet! It's is just your orki's ID,
while it's design must be clear not everything must be specified or shown (such as genitalia and mouth interior).
PAWPADS AND CLAWS ARE NOT MANDATORY TO BE SHOWN IN THE MASTERLIST PICTURE BUT PREFERED
Note: Only Orkis with more than 1 form or Alternate Palletes can have more than 1 full-body drawing in their Masterlist picture.
M I N I - G U I D E S :
Miniguides are the loophole for a more clearer ML picture and the allowance for more complicated poses or orki traits being used in less visible ways!
Such as tying your antennas in nice little bows as many Orkis like to do or shyingly hiding your paws, or having trimmed claws.
Mini guides are smaller drawing on your ML picture to provide a clearer viewing of your chosen feature
Examples:
- Stretched out antenna drawing in the corner
- Open Mouth Snout drawing in the corner
- Showing how a feature of your orki works -> bioluminescence, moving markings, etc.
- Pawpads or/and claw guide
GETTING YOUR PICTURE APPROVED:
After you're done with your scribbling and guide-making now it's time to get it uploaded!
You'll need to get it approved by our staff!
- You can either show it to us via our discord group or by commenting under the Master-List Entry.
Discord: You'll need to get at least 2 mods/admins to approve your picture before it can be updated! (Normally it is 3)
DeviantArt: If you comment under the masterlist entry, the ML account will reply to you whether it's approved or not!
If that account replies to you as approved, it means all of our mod staff have discussed your Master-list entry and decided to approve.
If it's not the account will reply to you with the changes that need to be done.
IF YOUR PICTURE IS APPROVED IT MIGHT NOT BE CHANGED RIGHT AWAY
we follow a schedule to when we update the master list to keep things organized so do not worry! We haven't forgotten.
