-Highly intelligent and proficient biologists who were apart of an organization (Umbrella/Nozama) in the process of developing a form of virus that served in the eventual creation of the bio-organic weapons that are the main driving force of their series as they eventually escape into the "wild" (Zombies/Amazons)-

-Both would then go onto inject themselves with said virus to enhance their own abilities to further their own goals (Jin wants to eradicate all traces of the Amazons (including himself eventually) // Wesker wished to mutate only what he deemed the "genetically superior" and leave the rest of mankind to die)

-Both would later go on to have sons (Chihiro and Jake Muller) who would not only inherit their unique DNA but also serve as the major catalyst in a later installment in their series as a involving more drastic infections albeit with opposite goals.

-As time went on, both would find themselves suffering from a degradation of their own being with the main protagonist (Chris Redfield and Haruka Mizusawa/Amazon Omega)

-As Minor Connection, Both has a Special Aparition in a crossover of their franchises (Wesker appears as a playable character in Marvel vs Capcom 3/Jin with Haruka and Chihiro appears in "Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Chou super hero taisen")
