  "Fat bitch." Sarah spat. Sage stared at her in silence, wondering where the bubbly personality of her friend had gone to. Kids watched the two speaking for they were in the middle of the lunch room. "Get the hell outta my sight."
"B-but-"
"No 'buts'. Lose a couple pounds then get your fat ass back here and talk." Her voice was cruel though her burning glare had softened. She didn't want to do this.
Sage shot from the cafeteria of the school, running straight for the girl's bathroom on the lower level. No one followed except a bulky security guard who demanded she returned. Still, Sage ran and threw back the door, entering quickly and looking into the mirror.
  Fat.
  She pulled her shirt up slightly, just enough to show her bruised stomach. Her eyes scanned the area for fat.
  Fat.
  Tears spilled down the girls cheeks as she stared at her stomach even more. Sarah... She was just looking out for Sage! That's what friends do... So Sarah wouldn't lie. The fists of the male guard pounded on the door, his voice drowning out.
  FAT!
  Sage felt a scream rise in her throat as she gripped her shirt tighter.

  Sage's fragile body was pushed, sending her backwards only to be caught by the lockers. A crowd had had formed around them, all watching silently with entertained eyes. They loved this.
They loved her pain.
Sage's eyes scanned the crowds for her only friend. She needed support, back up in the current fight. Yet when her eyes finally set upon her friend, she had her jaw ajar in shock. Standing there, fist raised to beat her was her only friend.
"S-Sarah...?"

  His hand cupped her tear-stained cheek, a small smile playing on his soft lips. He mumbled comforting things as he backed her up against the wall.
"No need to cry, love." She was disgusted by his touch, her eyes producing even more tears. His thumb wiped away each individual tear as he pried her from the wall, pushing her toward the bed.
"I-I-I d-don't want t-to..." Sage sputtered out her words between silent cries as she watched him walk closer.
"Shh~" He whispered. "If you do this, they'll all love you."
"...R-really?" Her mind was focused on one thing now; fitting in.
"Yeah," He smiled a bit wider, demolishing any space between them. Swallowing her fear and choice not to do this, she looked him in the eye with more determination than he had seen before.
"D-do it."
