The true meaning of this spiral design to me is Origin, Beginning, etc. In fact this is #2 spiral in the Continuity series, oldest in its size and recent-ness. But didn't want the name to be that bland.
This one, unlike its predecessors and those that followed, is entirely hand sculpted. The others use a thin foam push-mold.

Looks so Celtic.
The spiral is one of the most ancient symbols of our species. Virtually EVERY culture on this planet has examples in art and ritual objects.
