My 2 oldest daughters (9 and 12) absolutely love all things Sonic the Hedgehog, so naturally as their little sister (4) grew, they did their best to get her into the little blue speedy hedgehog. Inevitably, it worked with one small twist...her favorite Sonic character is Eggman. She has a plush, posters, etc...

So, for my families 2015 Yule I decided (as I have for her sisters) to make her, her very first Eggman figure. It's made in a similar fashion to the other block figures I've made, with the exception of using a wooden egg for the body. There are beads, small metal bars (reclaimed from a broken umbrella), 1 x 1/2 wooden ball, the tip of a small nail filed down and rounded for the nose (this one will never break off!!!!), some paint, and a bit of felt for the mustache.

***The reason for the excitement around the nose: The other Sonic figures I've made have all lost their noses due to play and have ended up with 2D noses. Eggman's nose is actually embedded into the head and as I noted earlier, made from metal. It's almost impossible based on how it's been assembled to break his nose off. YIPPY!!!!!
