"competing against yourself to excel in what your best at, creating an alter ego, an imaginary alter ego, to push your limits, to beat what you've previously produced or created ..."this photoshoot is related to the previous deviation i made, dreamscape .
reefonline has better shots of sam, warmer colours as well, unfortunately he's stuck somewhere in spain right now, he'll be able to post his shots of sam around the end of june.
thanks to my model sam (owner and artist of dreamscape studios in singapore)...

I love this set of shots. I think you have really captured Sam's charector, not just his appearance. I need to learn how to do that!

thank you for the positive comment, really appreciate... it's easy to get the character of a model out, you have to talk to him/her and know what words trigger him... in this particuliar case, sam was a gamer (battlefield, computer game) so i was talking to him, and told him how easy it was going to be for me to trash him... that triggered him and i continued shooting while interacting with him...

I like this series cos' not only I think the title dreamscape suits the lighting and all that.. oh ya.. I like how he apprears almost outta nowhere.. u knw.. it's like I don't know.. the silence which is loud.. u knw what I mean.. ?

i know what you mean, it's exactly what i wanted to achieve. lost of details due to the background and shadows, yet the little detail left is exposed by sharp lightings... very soft colours contrast with the complexity of the details... thanks a lot exan.
