Chapter Seven
When you’re about to die, time moves extra-slowly.
It seems to taunt you, stretching your last moments of life until death seems even worse than before.
Everything, even yourself, seems separated from you, as if by a veil.
Your life doesn’t flash by in your eyes or anything dramatic like that, but you suddenly can remember all those things you never got to do, all the things you never thought to say.
Life seems a hundred times better when your losing it- The moral, “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone” proves to be true in more ways than one- full of regret, guilt, and sorrow, your last few seconds could be your worst.

And as Danny Phantom fell, it was all these things and more.
He yelled as he went down, trying desperately to transform, to no avail. Above him, Vlad watched his mortal enemy fall, unaffected and unemotional whatsoever. But, below, his friends watched in terror as their best friend fell helplessly through the sky.
“Danny!” Sam cried.
“NO! No way, man! I can’t be…!”
But it was. After a few seconds, Danny fell into the forest left of them.
“No…Danny…You…” Sam said.
“Danny….” Tucker said in disbelief. After everything in which Danny should have died, he had not, and he had always survived against the odds. But now… It seemed unreal. Danny was dead. It could not be! Danny couldn’t die; not to them, he had always been the stable one, the invincible one. The one to fight for justice even when he was public enemy number one. The one to get up and stay fighting, no matter how strong the opponent was or how weak and tired he was. But now…
“Come on, Sam! We have to… go get…Danny… Before Vlad does, look!”
“What’s left of him, you mean….” She glanced up, sniffling. Looking up into the sky, she gasped. “Where’s Vlad going?! The woods?! But…”
“I think he’s going after Danny, Sam. Look!” He lined up the direction Vlad was going to where Danny had landed. “He might not be dead, Sam,” he said quietly. “That might be why Vlad’s going over there. But Danny’s going to be if we don’t get there and stop Vlad!”
“Right. Let’s go!” Sam stood up. If there was any hope of Danny living, it would be this. And she would do whatever it took to get her friend back.
