This, is amazing...! Although you I haven't seen Advance sprites in your gallery, it already looks to me like you're a professional at it

I rarely sprite Advance as I personally find it a tad overused and given a poor reputation by part of the community. You know which part I mean.
I'm no expert though. I just have enough experience under my wing to mimic another style. Nothing special in my opinion.

It's completely fine if you use sprites to improve off of in my opinion. It's when you don't improve that I can't handle it. In my book, if you can't recognize the base sprite used, you've done pretty good editing.

Thought in this case I would have used dark blue instead of dark red, though it still looks amazing.

Isn't the reason why it's better than half the community because you already have a solid experience in pixel art anyway?
Anywho, I like the design, I also like how clean this sprite looks good job on the shading.

That would be the reason, but I've had experience (for lack of a better word) with people who have showed properties of improvement but never applied themselves. I guess half the community is an overstatement.
