The ride down in the bathysphere was something that neither Shio or Sara had ever experienced. The city was exactly how Sara's family had described. The first day there was something amazing. It turned out that both Shio's family and Sara's family was going to live in the same apartment. After living underwater for about a month Shio now knew that life was indeed a lot easier under there. Not having to worry about the war going on on the surface, not having to worry about any secret organization trying to come underwater and rule Rapture. And both families were living the good life. Shio's father had gotten a job down at Fontaine's Fisheries working for some guy named Peach Wilkins. He worked with Sara's mother in the Fisheries as well. Shio's mother had become a receptionist at Andrew Ryan's office. Everything seemed to be going perfect.
"Man doesn't it seem weird that Ryan's been raising the plasmid prices? I mean 60 ADAM is enough but raising it by ten every few weeks is just another sign that Ryan is worried about his term ending." said Shio as he walked past a Gatherers Garden, looking over at Sara. They were at Fort Frolic, avoiding the mob of people who walked around, bags of things in both hands.
"Don't you ever listen to what the announcements say? You know how those smugglers are smuggling illegal things into Rapture. Andrew Ryan is just raising the prices because of the amount that's left nowadays." answered Sara as she looked over at him and giggled. They had grown closer and closer since their first day meeting in the bathysphere that had brought them down. Rapture had been growing as well, along with the crime rate. With the new found plasmid abilities and the amount of ADAM that was being used, Rapture seemed to be falling at a quick pace. Shio and Sara both new that times were going down hill but they both waved it off, acting as if nothing was wrong. They stopped in their tracks when they came across something that had never been seen in the city of Rapture. A body flew through the two front doors of Sir-Prize. Sara got close to Shio as she hid her face in his chest, Shio putting his arms around her, keeping her from getting hit with anything.
"What the hell is going on?" yelled Shio as he looked around, watching as people screamed and looked at the body. It was the body of the owner, Jefferey Cobb. Shio looked in horror as a figure emerged from the debris blocking the door. Sara opened an eye as her mouth dropped open. The very first sign showing off the true power of what happened to people who abused the power of ADAM.
