Something dawned upon me, which watching the latest Jurassic World movie. In the movie, something along the lines of "everyone has seen dinosaurs, we need to make them more entertaining....bigger...badder" was said. While it totally made sense with the movie, I saw a parallel to....us. I remember 1993 watching the first Jurassic Park completely and utterly in awe that there were "REAL" dinosaurs on the movie screen. We had never seen anything like it. They. Looked. Real.

As technology advanced, such an experience is almost primitive now. Why a plain old dinosaur when nowadays we aren't even phased by the destruction of Asgaard? When people say that "nothing will be like the original" they are right...but I don't think they realize why they are right. Nothing can re-create the magic of first seeing realistic prehistoric creatures moving and interecting like we have never seen before.

This drawing is a reflection based on that thought. The creature was inspired by the new "Indoraptor."
