When Aerin came out of her room, Gareth was waiting for her in the hall. He couldn't help but let out a low whistle of appreciation. "You look stunning, Aerin," he said, his eyes scrutinizing her from head to toe.

Imedhen patted Aerin on her shoulders and walked away smiling.

Gareth was dressed in a simple yet elegant tunic, and trousers. Aerin smiled, feeling a flush rise to her cheeks, and couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest at the way he looked at her.

"Thank you, Gareth," she said in a soft voice.

They made their way down to the banquet hall, where they were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The place was dimly lit by torches, casting a warm glow on the room. The air was filled with the delicious aroma of roasting meat and baked bread. Aerin couldn't help but feel her stomach growl at the sight.

The place was full of elves, some dressed in fine silks and velvets, others in simple tunics and trousers. They were all engaged in conversation, their laughter and chatter filling the room. A bard sat in the corner, plucking his lute and singing a soft melody that added to the warm and inviting atmosphere.

Elurin and Galadel were already seated at the table, and they gestured for Aerin and Gareth to join them.

Elurin smiled at Aerin as she took her seat. "You look lovely, my dear," he said. Galadel nodded in agreement, his eyes lingering on Aerin for a moment longer than necessary.

Aerin blushed at the compliments, feeling her confidence soar.

As they ate, the conversation was light and easy. Elurin and Galadel regaled them with stories of the fortress, and Aerin laughed and joked along with them, feeling more at ease than she had in days.

The food was delicious, with a variety of meats, vegetables, and breads that she had never tasted before.

Gareth seemed to have perked up as well, his mood less somber than before. He smiled and laughed along with the others, and Aerin couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked in the candlelight.
