In an alternate Earth, where society is more advanced, there resides an empire-like city known to us as Ultropolis. There are all types of financial classes residing in Ultropolis, ranging from dirt poor to extremely rich. But, the kingpin who is known as Julius Fisk is the ultimate ruler of the North District, and pretty much Ultropolis as a whole. Running Fisk Inc., Julius Fisk also has a task force associated with his company. In this task force, only the best of the best are assigned to take down crime. But soon, Fisk gets carried away with how much money he has, and starts to become greedy, and very angry at times. He has his science lab develop an energy serum called "Monstium-Y" , which is supposed to help him suppress these sudden waves of unusual emotions. But, he soon becomes addicted to Monstium-Y, and transforms in to a mutant we know as Intelon. Now, the Rangers must stop him and save the day!

There are 31 Rangers in the entirety of Power Rangers Task Team divided into four regions known as districts. The first ten Rangers are from the "North District", and are as follows:

The Red Ranger, Alex has a motif based off of a phoenix. Her attacks are mostly fire based.
The Green Ranger, Luca has a motif based off of a wolf. Her attacks are mostly ground based.
The Orange Ranger, Shane has a motif based off of a bat. His attacks are mostly sound based.
The Blue Ranger, Allie has a motif based off of a shark. Her attacks are mostly water based.
The Purple Ranger, Jake has a motif based off of a rhino. His attacks are mostly telekinetic.
The Pink Ranger, Kiera has a motif based off of a pegasus. Her attacks are mostly performed in the air.
The Aerial Ranger, Riley has a motif based off of a griffin. His attacks are mostly performed in the air as well.
The Gold Ranger, Luna has a motif based off of a tiger. Her attacks are mostly physical.
The Giga-Strength Ranger, Trey has a motif based off of an elephant. His attack are mostly lightning-based.
