I’m not generally a Zutara shipper (I prefer to jump around and tour different ships) but this scene has been stuck in my head. It’s not terribly original, it’s a basic Zutara set up, albeit a little more violent than most maybe? Anyway all ya’ll anti Zutara people take a chill pill.

Zuko to the Rescue! SYNOPSIS: It takes place after Zuko joins the group in Book 3 and is yet to be accepted by Katara. (Cause you know it’s more fun when they hate each other first.) The group is facing off with a tough posse like the Rough Rhinos only stronger and more vicious. Katara is separated from the group working on something that the bad guys are after. Zuko shoves her to the ground just as someone attacks her. I’ll let most of the (crap) panels speak for themselves. When Zuko opens his eyes, he tells Katara she needs to go and finish what she started. She’s upset and all of this anger comes out. She’s angry at the Fire Nation for…well, everything. She’s angry at Zuko. But, she’s also angry at herself. But eventually, Zuko says the magic word. And she knows he’s right. She needs to finish her task otherwise it’ll all be for nothing, but she’s torn. She tells him he better not be dead when she gets back; she makes him promise and tells him she’ll definitely never forgive him if he breaks this promise.

She runs off and they get everything done. But, when she gets back, Zuko’s gone. Literally. There’s just a pool of blood on the ground. She runs around and sees the bad guy from earlier carrying him off. She’s screaming and tries to catch up but he’s too far and Katara watches as they disappear and she falls to her knees while the others arrive. And she looks down and sees Zuko’s blood all over her clothes and her hands. And she’s determined to get him and save him.

So uh yeah, something like that. What happened to the bad guy earlier after he attacked? Katara was super pissed of course and sent a giant wave at him which knocks him down. And Toph comes to save the day because she’s pissed too. I subscribe to the Zuko-Toph sibling relationship.Sorry this is such a mess but I’m no good at these comic – panel things. It’s really hard to try and put together that jumbled mess in my brain lol.
