Description
When I began this background, my original intention was not anything close to the Baphomet. I was working on a Steampunk super-hero team, and while I will finish that, this simply had to be done first.
It was in working with the background, that I found it to be beautiful in how gaudy and trite the overabundance of gears. Something else that I find beautiful and gaudy is the Baphomet, as some theories postulate that the goat head represents the vulgar instincts in humans, and the wisdom that can be found in recognizing that. The Baphomet has always been a source of inspiration for me in a predominantly materialistic and dualisticly dogmatic world. For my own sake, I've always sought a balance of the extremes, however favorable or disfavor-able it may seem to outsiders on the fringe polarities.
In the chaos of a world pulled in 2 directions, I find my beauty in the balanced ugliness of a misunderstood being, demonized by all opposing forces.
